Course content
The course is aimed at students with advanced knowledge of the Spanish language. The main objective of the course is to improve the written and oral language skills of the students as well as their intercultural competence. With the help of business-oriented exercises the students will learn economic and business terminology. Attention will be paid in particular to the following topics:
a) Complex elements of Spanish grammar (indicative / subjunctive / infinitive; verbal paraphrasing; passive voice, etc.).
b) Reading and analysis of business-related texts. Selected topics taken from the book by Schnitzer / Martí (chapters will be announced at the beginning of the semester).
c) Oral expression: Presentation about a current topic, which will be defined at the beginning of the semester (approx. 20 minutes).
Any changes in the programme will be announced at the beginning of the course.
