An interactive workshop to experience Scrum and to learn the basic concepts of Scrum.

The workshop provides the fundamentals of Scrum and how this agile framework can be also applied outside the IT department and /or software development.

It is suited for everyone who is planning to work in an agile environment. It is also addressed to those who are currently working in an agile environment and/or are involved in an agile transformation process.

    • Module 1: Why Agile – Overview about the concept of Scrum
    • Module 2: Scrum Roles and Rituals
    • Module 3: Scrum Practices and Planning
    • Module 4: Estimation and Monitoring in Scrum

Each module is followed by a practical part to transfer the mindset the agile frameworks are asking for.

  • By the end of the course the participants have experienced:
    • different ways to collaborate in teams
    • what it means when working in self-organized teams
    • how agile frameworks influences and demands different styles of leadership
    • what is means to run a project with Scrum and why Scrum is not only limited to software development projects

  • They will understand:
    • the agile mindset and the importance behind
    • how agile working methods can help to handle an increasing VUCA world
    • the importance of learning loops and how a failure culture can be implemented in processes such as Retroperspectives
    • how the scrum frameworks facilitates innovation

  • New leading principles:
    • lead by serving your team
    • why it helps to divide the role of a leader into a product owner (Topic Expert) and a scrum master (= team coach)
    • how an iterative process to develop products and services significantly reduces the risk of market failure
The course is based on the concept of experiential learning, where we complement the lectures with "learning through reflection on doing”
Each pillar of scrum is introduced in mini-lectures providing the complete theoretical framework
Each lecture is then followed by interactive conceptualization, experience and reflection
The whole day will be facilitated with diverse tools, that also will inspire to try out new ways of working
