Path Description from Codecademy

Interested in learning how to code, but unsure where to start? The Code Foundations path provides an overview of the main applications of programming: computer science, web development, and data science. It also teaches important concepts that you'll find in every programming language, such as variables, functions, and control flow. After completing this path, you'll understand key programming terms and you'll be ready to chart your course to a more technical career.

The respective course can be completed on an external platform called Codecademy. Completion requires active work on the content of the course and successful participation in non-timed quizzes or projects which are automatically evaluated. After successful completion of the coursework, students will receive a certificate for the course which they can upload in the Moodle-course (see course description "Recognition").

The deadline to complete the necessary coursework on the external platform is set individually for each quarter. Afterwards, WHU's accounts will be assigned to the students of the courses of the next quarter.

Students will be registered for this course by the program administration after having completed the respective skill path on Codecademy.
